    Hi everybody:

I need some type of plugin or tool (internal or external) for Adobe Audition that allows me to warn the actor voice so he is able to know when he can start to act. I have seen that some studios use a kind of circle or numbers which change color as time approaches to the “acting area”. I mean:

    Green –> Wait for it.
Yellow –> Be ready to act.
    Red –> Start recording.

    Thanks in advance.

for tv shows, a 1 khz wave 3x with a small O lower right. beep, beep boop, every 1 second then 4th second is record. This builds a working tempo both visually and aurally so they don’t jump in too soon or too late. often we don’t even use a visual symbol. most actors are good with the beeps. BEEP!

changing color gives a subconscious drag race effect and creates stuttering. imho.
a small tip, don’t blind the actor with a bright picture. they will be staring at it a lot.

And how I generate that beep automatically with Audition?

PD.: I’ll make a note about the bright screen thing haha.

And what I would had to do? Create the tone and copy paste? That’s a pain in the neck.

how is a computer going to know what audio you want to dub???

just export the 3 beeps into a standalone wave and import into multichannel session. drag to markers you create. press the M key, or click the Add Marker button in the Markers panel
