Hi guys, im a bit new to Vegas, but am loving so far. Im trying to recreate the Indiana Jones red travel line that shows the places visited as the map pans. I thought the masking tool might work, but I dont know that im using it properly. Any point in the right directiuon would be awesome.

    Thanx, Carson

I did something like that once. I started with a map of the US. I opened it in Photoshop and added a red line showing the progress of a trip from one side to the other. So I ended up with one unchanged US map jpg, and an almost identical jpg with a red line on the map. I put them both on the timeline in Vegas, and made them overlap. Then I added a Linear Wipe transition, which made it seem like the line was traveling across the map.

I think used the Linear Wipe called “Left-Right, Soft Edge”.
