Is there a way to import an In-design template into Illustrator & or Corel draw with it being fully editable with setup guides? When I tried to exprt as PDF, I lose the guides and the editability of the text is not correct.

Judy, you can cut and paste layer elements between ID and IA, so in a sense the template could be replicated that way. I don’t think you can copy and paste the guides, but not sure. So you could just recreate the size of the artboard in IA to match the one in ID, then copy and paste all the elements over. That would preserver your text. But some effects may be lost (transparency, etc.) but those can be recreated. Good luck!
