    Dear collegues,
I am a beginner in indesign cs3. I was processing a file and did obviously something wrong, since on the page was only displayed “root”, I was not able to see the text. As a last resort I saved the file in the inx format and opened it again and could see the text, but the illustrations were not visible as such only their place holder. Has anyone an idea?
    Best regards
    Michael

What do you mean, “processing” a file.. do you mean you were trying to print the file or create a pdf?

inx format is really only used to save a backwards compatible file for someone using CS2 or even CS if the file isn’t using specific CS2 actions.
