Independent PSD Files? Bug? Feature?
Hi, I’ve used FCP since version 2. Often I’ll do several different copies of a video for different regions, so everything is identical, but a single tag graphic might say a different region.
I’ve always made a Photoshop File with the 20 different regions as layers, gone through 20 duplicated sequences and turned off/turned on the appropriate layers.
In Final Cut Pro 6 I find this no longer works as it has decided that the PSD is somehow a master clip or something. I don’t really understand what it’s doing, but I’ll change one of the Tag graphics to the appropriate layer for that sequence, and it will change EVERY sequence. It won’t let me click the “make independent clip” button (greyed out) and i’m not even sure if i’m barking up the right tree here…
Does anyone understand what’s going on here? I’m sure there’s some genius logic to this new “feature” but I can’t for the life of me figure it out 🙂 Any help would really be appreciated
Cheers
Lachlan
