  independent channel selection

  I started this search when I switched from sound forge to soundbooth CS4. I need to quickly copy the left track, and paste it to the right track after a capture. I thought it would be simple.

  How can you not be able to edit the left or right channel independently of each other in sound booth CS4?

  My problem was simple, I have a recorder that only outputs a mono audio signal, the computer is capturing, stereo. So at the end of the capture, I copy the right channel, and paste it to the left, save the file, done. Well I used to do that in sound forge.
  Somehow, while reading this, I was able to do just that, but only after opening new tracks, closing others, some copy, some paste, ect…. I have no idea how i did it, but to have to go through all these steps is nuts.
  Anyone have a simple idea for this?
