  • Increasing speed of ‘running’ shot?

Posted by Leanne Wagner on May 3, 2010 at 11:42 pm

    Hi,
I am just trying to edit, my first attempt at PP4, a film for Uni and need to increase the pace of my actors running in a couple of shots. They look more like they are jogging at the moment, and I am not able to re-shoot.
Have googled for solution, but haven’t found how to do it.
Do I just increase the frame rate for those scenes, then leave the rest, or is there a better way?

    thanks for your help.

Place your clip into the timeline.
    Right click on the clip.
Select “Speed Duration” from the menu.
Set the desired amount of percetage, try 150% as a starting point.
Make sure to render the clip afterwards or it wont play correctly.
Mess with the percentage until you have the speed you want.

Let us know how it works.
