  • Increasing box size, not image

Real basic question. I have tried googling this but dont really know what to search for.

When im importing an image in to AE there is always a box around the object. When I try to make the box bigger I end up making the image bigger too. How do prevent that from happening, I dont want to increase the image size, only the stupid box.

    Thanks

Like most things in AE there is more than one way to do this.
You could use the Grow Bounds effect.
Or you could precompose the layer and make that precomp whatever size you want.
