    Hi everyone!

I have a quick question for you.I am trying to mix some quicktime movies and I like to lower the volume at the end of the layer (the mov) and increase it at the beginning of each layer (mov),so teh transition between the movies will also happen with a smooth sound transition.
I tried to set up a keyframe at the beggining and end of each layer, the max at 0.0 dB and the minimum I went to -0.5dB, but the sound stays the same, not changing at all when i render teh whole movie.

How can I increase and lower my volumes in different segments of a movie????

    Thank you in advance!!
    Esther.

-0.5db is very close to 0, so you’re not likely to hear much difference. Turn it way down to -50 and you’ll be getting closer.

However, I don’t think I would be the only user of this forum to suggest you don’t work with sound in AE. Not only is it cumbersome and difficult to do, AE doesn’t deal with sound very well, expecially compressed sound.
