Inconvenient convenience
In the latest version of ENCORE, the moment you connect a button with a timeline, the text and formatting snaps to that of the timeline.
After I’ve gone to the trouble of preparing the button, which does not necessarily match exactly the timeline name, it annoys me that I have to manually re-configure the button text and style.
Surely I can evade this inconvenient convenience.

Turn off the Synch Button Text and Name button property for each button after you finish designing your buttons and before you start linking them to content.
Make sure to go to the Adobe web site and file a feature request to allow the user to choose whether SBTAN is on/off by default.
