Incompatible Format
I need to author a DVD for a short (4 min) project that I put together. I exported the timeline to compressor and compressed it using the HD DVD: H.264 90 minutes setting at 10.3Mbps.
When I try to import it as an asset into DVD Studio Pro it tells me that it’s an incompatible format. I know DVD Studio Pro accepts H.264…so what’s the problem? I’m supposed to deliver this DVD this afternoon, so any help would be appreciated. -

make sure your dvd studio pro project is set to HD-DVD.

did that. still no luck. i checked the manual and hd h.264 should be compatible.
i’d prefer to use that and not mpeg..

I import the timeline to create a quicktime movie then into Studio Pro 4 then burn the
HV-DVD TS in Toast9 with HD Plugin onto a good quality standard DVD disc, works a treat. -
Okay, but isn’t H.264 and Apple codec? Hard to figure out why it would be so hard to bring it DV SP…

I had the same problem, i am waiting for a mate of mine to work it out, but as i said i did it
in quicktime with great results.

I shoot on HD-Cam, and import to FCP at 10Bt uncompressed, the HD-DVDs are
fantastic.
