What are the limitations of FCP’s sync feature for multiclips? I have had video and audio only clips that I lined up in angle editor with extremely clean audio right on top of the matching sound and I get this message after a long unsuccessful syncing. Is there a problem mixing audio with various sample rates? Are there video limitations also?

[David Powell] “I get this message after a long unsuccessful syncing. “

Can you post again. We don’t see the message.

Is there a picture of an error message that you are trying to post? If so we’re not seeing it.

If not you mentioned a message, what does the message say?

Ooh sorry. No I don’t have a picture. That is the exact wording after the failed sync though. “inadequate audio”. fortunately it was easy to manually sync this sound file. It’s a problem though when it’s multiple video files, which happens often. I figured there was some limitation in mixing formats that I may not be aware of.

I haven’t seen or heard of any audio format restrictions in FCP X. I have synced a large amount of double system sound and never had a problem.

Are the audio/video files out of ordinary? What are they exactly?
