In SE Particles Don’t Show On Playback
It seems that after I put in an emitter (as per directions), the only way I can see the particle effect is to start then stop the playback in quick succession. Then I get a still image of the effect…but even that only works ~20% of the time. What am I doing wrong? (The demo did the same thing about half the time.)

I’m thinking this may be an OpenGL issue. You’re on Windows, right? Use the “run with software rendering” option in the Start – Programs – particleIllusion 3.0 – troubleshooting menu.
If that works, then you need to download the latest video drivers from your graphics card manufacturer’s website.
