In Premier do you have to number the sequence markers to become chapters in Encore?
Using Premier Pro 2.0 and Encore 2.0: I love the fact that I can place the chapter markers in Premier Pro for import into Encore. From what I understand I place sequence markers which will be picked up in the video and this is exported in the .avi. From what I see you can enter several pieces if information in the sequence marker inclduing comments, duration, chapter, URL and frame target. My question is whether I have to number the sequence markers at this point or can I simply leave them unnumbered. My fear is if I number them and down the road I add another one in the middle I would have to go and renumber those follwing the added one.
If I simply place sequence markers in the video will Encore pick these up as chapters and automatically number them? I hope so.

btw…I did try this myself and it seems that if you don’t put in a chapter number in the sequence marker then it’s not brough into Encore as a chapter. So I guess my question now is how do you deal with adding chapters in Encore as the project progresses and then needing to renumber all the chapters after the one you add? Is there an automated process that renumbers them…or do you just dive in and renumber them all manually?

Adding chapter markers in Encore, automatically renumbers all the markers. But the chapter marker number system does not interfere with the actual chapter order as you can link them in any order to the menu buttons.
