In point and out point time
I set an in point and an out point over several clips on the timeline. Without subtracting the out time from the in time, is there an indicator somewhere that can tell me the length?

Yes: Take a look at the lower right corner just under the Monitor Window.
BTW The same thing in the source monitor. It also shows the duration of the in & out points as applied to the source clip.
