    Gentlemen
I’m using AF 6.5. I need to add a quick fx to a 10 second piece of video. How do i make the frame appear to suck straight back into the center of the screen and disappear. I’m not talking about zoom or scale in to center. I’m looking for the sucking or pulling in fx. Any ideas.

i don’t think you’ll find a one stop effect to do this, but try the warp effect with the ‘fish eye’ style setting, then animate bend to a negative value. that should start pulling or pinching the image to the center of the screen. you can try some of the other settings too…

after that you’ll still need to effect the footage off. i would probably start with scalling it off, then maybe animating a mask shape to shape the edges to a more organic/curvilinear shape.

bezier warp may work well too, it’s more work, but should give you more control to pull points in and distort you image as needed. it would also allow you to shape the edges as needed, as it gets sucked in.
