Improvement discoveries in HD Studio 10 renders
I just wanted to report some things I found recently while rendering DVD video from Vegas HD Studio 10.
First of all, the final video product is sharper when I use “Good” setting than it is when I use “Best” setting. Defies logic but true.
Second – and really surprising – I get a MUCH sharper video render when I set de-interlace to “NONE”. When I select “blend” or “interpolate” it blurs the video. (The standard DVD template uses “blend” setting).
A third “trick” I learned is to set up the project in HD mode at exactly twice my SD source file resolution. My source files are 720×480 so I set up the project as 1440×960 – exactly double. Even though the source file resolution doesn’t improve Vegas DOES seem to interpolate when rendering back down to DVD at 720×480. The output has noticeably less pixelation of lines and sharp edges.
Anyway, much of this may be technically “wrong” but I have a DVD that looks GREAT. So go figure!
Sorry, there were no replies found.
