I have had much better luck with the Sony Unsharp Mask. Sharpen has a nasty tendency to make low levels of noise much more prominent.

Yea, Unsharp Mask is another good one to try. I had forgotten about that.

I get excellent results using Pop in Magic bullet Looks and
NewblueFX Video Essentials Sharpen is also an excellent option.
