Hi every one, I’m new to this forum and desperately need help!. ……..been pulling my hair out.

I keep getting “ImportProcessServer.exe ” has stopped working?

Looking at the details it says there is a fault with “bmdimport.prm” I’ve reinstalled the latest drivers for my Black Magic intensity pro card, and Premier pro CS4 works fine with some projects for a while??
but suddenly the timeline stops running. If I press play again it plays for a few seconds then stops. This gets gradually worse until Premier crashes.

What I can’t understand is that the system has worked great for about six months, that is until about a 2 days ago. So I don’t think it’s the system I’m using, rather a glitch has manifested in either the BlackMagic software or Premier Pro. Literally one minute it all works fine ….know the whole system seems really unstable, crashing every other time I hit play.
I’ve looked up the problem on various forums and it seems it’s not a unique problem. However no one seems to have an answer?

I’ve spoken to Adobe support who say they want me to pay £40 pounds for them to help me resolve the problem, they also tell me that if they can’t resolve it
I wont get my money back……plus it’s £40 extra for each and every problem regarding Premier CS4 now because it’s considered at old product.

I’ve got to say I’m pretty shocked & discusted with Adobe. I’ve always been a fan of Adobe products, but after paying £700 for this software, I feel they have a legal duty to help
there users. I will be speaking with black magic on Monday morning first thing…….I just hope they don’t ask me for money to fix what should be a free support issue?

    Hope someone can help…………….many thanks

    Hi Darren,

The first thing I would look at is insufficient RAM. That’s at the root of many crashes.

What do you have currently installed, what type of footage are you working with?

Or some OS or driver update that recently auto-installed is causing the problem.
