When I import a video, or capture one, the video is played in poor colors. My blacks have become purple, and my whites have become green. The program was installed, with no presets of any sort, and the video is captured with improper colors. How can i fix this?

I have a brand new macbook, leapord.
I captured off a sony handycam.
I tried upgrading Avid once i had installed it, the problem still exists.
any help is grateful, thank you.

I’ve just started using Media Composer and I get the exact same problem with my Panasonic DVX100A

Something like this happened in FCP and I trashed the preferences file, and it was back to normal. Seeing as this is the first time I used MC, I’m sure that wouldn’t make a difference. After capturing, the footage plays with those strange colors, but on pause, the colors are normal. Totally weird.
