try the demo of that plugin… if like it you can buy it
… “MainConcept MPEG Pro is a full-featured MPEG editing solution for Adobe Premiere Pro. Although Premiere Pro will import MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 material, it does not offer native MPEG editing or smart MPEG rendering.” …..

October 10, 2005 at 6:48 pmYes I agree- It works really well – a file doesn’t loose quality but when I made some changes (cuts etc) and I want to export it (doesn’t matter in what format) looses quality dramaticly….
Question is -How to export AC3 file without loosing a quality??Best regards – Chris
Sorry that I am so late!

October 19, 2005 at 12:10 amuse any analog to digital converter to do this… the ADS Tech PYRO A/V Link is pretty good and it’s very reasonably priced.

October 19, 2010 at 11:51 amHello all,
Just to keep you updated on .VOB’s in Premiere; since the arrival of CS5, Premiere handles .VOB files without question. No re-encoding necessary. Just drop them in there like anything else.
Get the trial from Adobe and see for yourself.
Happy Tuesday
Andrew

August 3, 2011 at 6:35 pmHello everyone. I have problem with importing *.VOB files into Premiere Pro CS5.
When I do so (as any other type of media files, by double clicking on project panel) the files appears only 3 seconds long. Here is what property window says about *.VOB file inside Premiere:
File Path: G:\Work\Work Projects\Lena\1\VTS_01_1.VOB
Type: MPEG Movie
File Size: 1023,5 MB
Image Size: 704 x 576
Pixel Depth: 32
Frame Rate: 25,00
Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - compressed - Stereo
Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
Total Duration: 00:00:03:18
Average Data Rate: 275,1 MB / second
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1,0909 (1,4587)When I play that dvd everything appears fine.
What to do, what to do?

August 16, 2011 at 1:53 amFirst, Premiere Pro CS5 a video editing and making software. And VOB is not one of the formats supported by Premiere Pro. So if u wanna edit yr movie in it, u can convert it into the format which it supports, like AVI, MPEG-2. U can use rersoft’s vob converter. Since the file that u have is a MPEG movie, so I recommend u to choose the output format as MPEG, and choose the MPEG-2 as video compression by clicking the Edit button.

September 9, 2011 at 10:49 pmWay cool! The mpg trick worked for me. I’ve always wanted to be able to drag the VOBs straight in, because squashing them in a converter is like taking the ugly stick to them.
Thanks fellas

October 17, 2013 at 4:46 pmHi, 1st u must know that premier pro from cs3 to cs4 can’t import Vob files only cs5, even the new cs6 version can’t import DVD files, so for easy edit on DVD content on adobe you need premier pro cs5 version, with my experience in this field for 8years now, for question send mail to slimphase@yahoo.com
