    Hi Guys,

I need a little help picking a editing software for broadcast ready material or post broadcast?

I am thinking about Pr Pro but am concerned about what happens to out of TV safety data. Like:
    Closed Captioning on lines 21
Spot trac Nielsen watermarks on lines 20-22
    CC on line 9 (HD)

Does anybody have experience importing video files into and out of PrPro with closed captioning and / or watermarks.

I will be using windows and importing MPEG2 files for the most part

    ???
    all help in greatly appreciated.

    cheers!

I’m not certain, but I can only assume it’s stripped out. PPro CS6 has promised closed captioning creation and support so that’s what I’m basing my assumption on, but now I’m curious too.

    Thanks Angelo,

I wanted to test this out but I cannot get a free trial of the software from adobe that lets me import and export mpeg2. is there a software that you recommended I look into for broadcast ready video editing / graphics. Media that will always have closed captioning and embedded watermarks??

    thanks!

Final Cut Pro should preserve it under certain circumstances and I believe Sony Vegas released the feature last year too. I’m not certain about Neilsen watermarks though.
