August 16, 2009 at 1:35 amWithout having the actual clip, all I can suggest is to play around with it and try a bunch of different FX and settings until you find one that works for you.
Render each one and name it or take notes so that you’ll remember what you did and can repeat it in the future.
Vegas has the ability to save modified presets so that’s another option to consider as well.Sorry but I’ve never used Premiere so I have no idea why it won’t handle DivX or XviD files.

August 16, 2009 at 5:24 am“when you say viewer do you mean my media player? ” Yes.
“how do i use a grabbed still, is it the same as taking a shot from it?” Yes.
To grab a still from the timeline, go to the Vegas Preview screen. On the Preview screen Toolbar click on the floppy disc icon, the “Save Snapshot to file . . ” . What this will do is give you a still of what is under the Timeline Cursor.

Make sure to set the Preview window to Best/Full (for best image size and quality) before grabbing a still.

August 18, 2009 at 2:56 amBut real quick it seems that ALL my video Files when played with WINDOWS media player, and other players seem just fine, Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 is bright enough too. But When I import it to Sony Vegas 9.0 it is dark, is it a setting or template that is making my videos darker?
Because I think by just adding video effects, is like just make up you know? haha true beauty is underneath, and if my videos are already good and vegas is just a bad filter…Thanks 😀 Or I could attach the video file and see if it is dark on yours?

August 20, 2009 at 5:03 amCan you now provide a view of the Timeline showing some of the controls you have working there – especially the Track Header; the Project Media pane and the controls on the actual Media Event on the timeline. It looks to me, if this is not a problem with the captured source, as if you have got an FX in play? Can you do that? Also trying clicking on the FX bypass icon on the Preview Toolbar. See if that makes a difference.

August 20, 2009 at 9:26 amaite here it is.
Some stuff I didn’t quite understand like, what track header was, tried looking in help and googleing…Hope you can figure some stuff out, and like the codec and stuff.
I tried playing around with the special effects brightness… i think if nothing else occurs I might have to just apply it, but i don’t want to if you can help that be great
Here is a preview of it on Adobe Premiere.
not same resolution i know but it is brighter.
