I am using mpeg Streamclip to import DVD footage into a project. I choose “export to DV” and whilst the files load OK, the audio needs to be rendered. I presume this is because Streamclip makes the audio 32 bit and my sequence can only be 8 16 or 24. I can’t find any audio preference to change in Steamclip, is there a way around this ?

    Hi

“If you Export from Mpeg Streamclip using the Export to DV setting you get a .dv stream, as used in iMovie.
What you need to do is Export to QuickTime, then choose the Compression setting Apple DV-PAL.”

    Hi David,
Paul is pointing you the correct path. just to add, if you want to get the best from the DVD, don’t export it as DV. Choose a higher “intergrity” codec, 8b Uncompress for example.
    cheers,

Unless of course you’re editing in DV as he is and don’t want to rerender you uncompressed clip as dv yet again in the timeline.
