Importing using Bridge: Index/Conform?
Hello!
A little birdie told me that there is a way to import HD files into Premiere (CS5.5) using Bridge that bypasses the need to Index and Conform… Is this true? It doesn’t seem possible to me.
Any help is appreciated!

I’ve not heard of such a trick. Indexing and conforming is how PPro helps manage files between it and After Effects as well as, I believe, Audition so it doesn’t need to re-process them at each step.
As far as I’m aware, I think all conforming does is write some XMP data and convert 16 bit audio to 32 for editing purposes. That’s what Adobe’s forums state.
