PMW-EX1. After installing the SxS device driver and Clip Browser & restart, I’m not seeing the import XDCAM option in FCPS2 6.0.4.
    Quicktime 7.5.
Set up is XDCAM EX 1080P25 VBR
I have successfully transfered files to the hard drive from the SxS card.

    Any clues please

Install Sony XDCAM Transfer tool 2.7.

Everything you need is on the Microsite:

Also make sure to run software update again, there’s a proapps update that also helps. You also should be able to directly log and transfer rather than Import Sony XDCAM in FCP 6.0.4.

Thanks Craig & Noah. All working perfectly now.
We have your Callbox EX1 guide Noah. Gave me a great headstart before the arrival of the camera.

I have not tried this yet, but it is now possible to import EX with Log and Transfer too. Download the plug-in below from the web.

    [Juan Martinez] “XDCAM_EX_Log_and_Transfer_Plugin_1_0_0(2).dmg “

If only it were a link. The only place I’ve found it is on Sony Canada’s site.
