What settings are you using in FCP?

Material captured in iMovie is in the wrong format and needs to have the audio rendered. It also has no timecode and reel information so it’s not recapturable.

Thanks Tom, I ended up figuring it out. As you guessed it was all in the settings. I ended up monkeying with them and it imported.. I keep getting this warning everytime i put a clip in a sequence

“Warning- This clip does not match this sequence’s settings.

For best performance your sequence and External Video should be set to the format of the clips you are editing

Change sequence settings to match the clips settings

No Yes ”

The project i am working I am not using the sound off the Tape.. but I am going to be in the future. Do you know what is up with that warning and what I should do about it? I watched some of the clips and it seemed to line up fine. I am guessing its a either yes or no, or I should change something somewhere.

Your sequence settings don’t match your clip settings. Edit a clip into the timeline, say yes to the dialog, and FCP will fix your mistake for you.

You should also not be capturing to the internal system drive. It has enough to to do already running the OS and applications. You will get dropped frames.
