I’m having trouble importing text created in Photoshop CS into Final Cut 4.5. The text itself comes through fine, but any glows, drop shadows, etc., don’t make it unless I merge layers. Is there something I’m missing? I’d like to be able to keep the layers seperate in FCP.

Your doing nothing wrong, it’s just that FCP doesn’t recognize layer styles. The only way to get them into FCP is to right click on the style button to the left of the name of the layer and select “create as layers”. This will rasterize the effects, however and keep them from being edited.

Usually I’ll create my original graphic and then duplicate it and use the duplicate to create the rasterized layers and use that comp in FCP
