importing targa sequence to fcp
Im making the final output for a project that involves combustion and 3d max. instead of a mov which is what i expected, the combustion guy has given me a targa image sequence. when i try to import it into fcp every targa is 10seconds long instead of single frames. any ideas as to how i should import it without having to manipulate the clip length? there is little/no time to make another render of the combustion in .mov format, so ideally there will be some way to apply an action (reducing length to 1 frame) to groups of targas? could after effects help at all?
I do realise this post probably belongs to the basics section but im quite desperate, as i have to deal with this in the next few hours, so i would appreciate insight from the pros. Im having a bit of a crisis, would really appreciate any help

User preferences / Editing / Still/Freeze Duration
set to 1 frame

open Quicktime Pro. Go to “Open image sequence” Open your Targa sequence and then export it as a Quicktime movie of your choice and import that Quicktime movie into FCP.
