I am using a Sony HDR-AX2000 and when I record a long session of video the file is broken into pieces. If I just import each “piece” into PP CS5 there is a time gap between each clip. The camera shipped with a progam called “Content Management Utility” which is supposed to fix that problem. I am having a problem getting it right.

    My question is:

1, Is that what the rest of you Sony users use?

2, Is there a better way?

Are you using the Media Browser?

    See these pages:
    “Importing assets from tapeless formats”
“Import files with the Media Browser”

Hey Todd, thanks for replying. No, I don’t even know what Media Browser is. I have used Sony’s Content Manager which does the same thing but time it didn’t work. Thanks for the link I glanced at it and will read it over a few times. I didn’t get a manual for CS5 because I have the teacher addition so I am fighting every time I have to learn something.
Once this wedding is done I will install the .5 upgrade and I am really looking forward to that. I love CS5 but all of my software has to be upgraded as well. $$$ Anyway, I appreciate your help.

I gave two links to documents telling what it is and how to use it.

Todd, Media Browser is greyed out and inoperative. I’m trying to figure out how to activate it.

Also, when I go to ‘Adobe Premiere Help’ it trys to download an update for community help but then says that the installer file is damaged. So I cannot use the help menu

I am also experiencing the “greyed out” Import from Media Browser feature.

I’m trying to figure out why P2/MXF files are constantly losing linkage. I brought them in simply by drag & drop, so I’m wondering if “Import from Media Browser” could be a solution… but it doesn’t work for me.

    Help?
