importing swf–no audio!
Hi,
I just created an swf file with audio (it plays both graphics and audio in flash player) but when I import it into AE (I’m using 6.5 pro), there’s no audio.
I experimented by solely importing the mp3 file I used and it didn’t play the audio in the preview, but included it when I rendered.
What can I do to make it play both? Should I export from Flash as a quicktime file vs. an swf? How can I get audio to play in preview?

Thanks, Dave. I’ll try it and see if it works. I doesn’t make sense to me, especially now that Abode owns Flash, that swf files can’t be imported easier. And while I love AE, gee, the mp3 thing is very disconcerting–especially if you’re working with big audio files. AIFF’s can be monsters.

Tried exporting the flash file as a quicktime (using animation codec, and actually keeping the mp3) and it worked. Thanks! Now, if I could only figure out why the imported swf file won’t import the audio. Anyone here have any ideas/solutions? Or is quicktime the only way to go?
