Importing Subtitles always defaults to

Hi folks,

Every time I import a .srt file into Premiere (lasted CC version), it makes the files 16384 x 1280. So you can’t see them on the timeline.

I then have to go right click > modify > captions and change it to 1920 x 1080. Then select all and make them larger than 6pt, which is the default font size.

I have searched both within Premiere and on forums and support for why this happens, but can’t find anything.

I know captions is really poor in Premiere, but any help would be great.
