I need to convert STL files (the client gave me) to Adobe Encore format.

As far as I know Adobe Encore uses the following…

    00;00;01;20 00;00;05;10 Hello this is a subtitle

    1) What character Encore uses to have the title display on 2 different lines?

    2) I tried some converters I found on the internet but none of them seems to work.. for a reason or another…

TITLE EXCHANGE PRO (Mac) is not yet working with Leopard
SUBTITLE WORKSHOP (Pc) has an Encore export option but doesn’t seem to work. File created are not compatibile. In fact if I open them in Notepad I find “:” and not “;” between figures in time code and I find “|” to separate lines on the same subtitle.

    Can somebody help me.

I just need a simple way to create Adobe Encore compatibile titles

    Thanks

I am doing some other tests and the issue seems to be the italian characters

    à è é ò ù

All the subtitle format converters just copy the character and don’t (should they?) convert them to an ANSI equivalent.

So.. How can I force Encore to adopt the italian character set?

You could try using a text editor (such as Ultraedit- they should have a free trial) to run a macro and change your script file and save it with a different encoding if necessary (UTF-8, UTF-16, ANSI).
