Importing still images in Premiere Pro CS4

I’m new to Premiere Pro and I need some help, any advice will be much appreciated.
I’m trying to import still images in Premiere Pro CS4 but when I encode the video, they come up pixelated. I’m not sure how to fix it.The video preset I’m using is DV PAL Widescreen 48kHz, 25fps, frame size: 720h 576v (1.4587), Pixel Aspect Ratio: D1/DV PAL Widescreen 16:9.
The images are cropped in Photoshop to 16:9 and then I tried changing the pixel dimensions to 720×576 but it’s still not working. I know there is something about square and rectangular pixels but I don’t really understand how to fix it. I encode the video for quick time though I have no idea if that makes a difference..

If you want to resize the still images to DV resolution you make then 1050×576 with square pixels (this is for CS4/5)
