Im working in Adobe Premiere 1.5
Everytime I import a quicktime .mov file it plays back jumpy/ jerky. when i play it in Quicktime player it is smooth and normal. The Avi file that i also brought in to that project plays fine.

    any ideas?

Since Premiere Pro 1.x and 2.x were developed for the PC only, the Quicktime MOV files will not play as well as the AVI files.

Could you tell us more about the MOV file and how it was acquired?

Hi thanks for your help. I downloaded the Quicktime files off our FTP guest site. We distribute dvd’s and these were created and uploaded by the individual artists. could i export them out of Quicktime Pro to avi? then bring them in to Premiere? I only have experience with FCP and no nothing about editing on a PC. The clips also look really low res when I import them, not just jumpy.
any advice would be very appreciated.
