Importing .PSD File Problem
Hey there!
If anyone could help solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated! I’m trying to import a layered .PSD file from Photoshop into After Effects. The After Effects Composition is 720 x 480, 29.97 fps. I say import > file. The find my .PSD file, choose import as composition, editable layer styles, and LIVE Photoshop 3D. However, as soon as it imports the layers are 2 frames each and they aren’t your normal looking .PSD file (the blue symbol). I tried to extend the time on it figuring that would be no problem, just a mild inconvenience, but the really weird part is that when it extends the picture changes in after effects around 3 seconds to something else I was photoshopping.
Does anyone know why just a regular .PSD file isn’t importing? Many thanks in advance!!

Hi Stephen,
Please make sure when you import your psd file that the “Photoshop Sequence” option in not selected in the “Import File” window.

I don’t see a button for importing photoshop files as a sequence, however, I somehow managed to figure out the problem by un-checking Live Photoshop 3D. Do you know why “Live Photoshop 3D” does this? Or what is it exactly?

I assume that the first time you imported your PS file the “Photosop Sequence” box was checked and the second time not and un-checking the “Live PS 3D” box in the layer options just made you think it was the culprit.
