I have created a file in Photoshop (a silhouette of 3 church windows) which are white on one layer with a transparent background. I have then imported them into illustrator and placed them onto a green(R0G171B118) background box to form a heading for a poster.

On screen, all looks fine, but when I print, the windows have a different colored background (a variation of green). I have tried importing them as png, Gif etc, but they still have a containing box with a different colored green background behind.

Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong please?

    Cheers.

I’d start by changing the color modes of both the PS and AI projects to CMYK.
For the PS file, save it as a PSD or TIF/LZW, for placement in AI.
    Try that stuff first.

Is the PSD image embedded in your AI or linked? Have you tried one over the other?
