Importing Prores in Avid
Using the trial version of MC6.0 on Mac, I tried to import a number of PAL ProResHQ files into the Avid for delivery to the cutting room. They want PAL25P 420 which is the option I selected in the import window.
After rendering it seems that the files are not PAL25P 420 but PAL50 codec instead. I remember that this transcode went much faster than usual. What is going on? Is there another codec/format option somewhere for importing?
I restarted the import from the same files, they go much slower now and seem to be what they want in PAL25p 420 codec.
I am checking the codec in the final file with the Get Info option when right-clicking in the bin.
Thanks for the help,
Dirk
