    Hi,friends

    I should work with my *Mp4* files in Avid media composer but i cannot import my files *is there any way to import my Mp4 files in avid*……..thanks

    Importing for video media is becoming a thing of the past as many codecs require a certain plug-in to link to beforehand using AMA. AMA linking is faster than import but has the one extra step. Link, then transcode to your desired target codec/data rate. Even the small extra step is faster as transcoding uses all cores to create new media versus the single core import uses.

    And in the most recent versions, this is done via the SOURCE BROWSER. Make sure the LINK option is chosen (lower left) and then when it’s in a bin, you transcode to a DNx codec for editing.
