Importing Normal 24p into FCP6
I recently shot a documentary with a DVX100B (on the F5 setting, which I believe is Normal 24p) and I’m currently trying to import it in a way that will preserve the look using Final Cut 6 (part of the Studio 2). What, exactly, should I be using for Format, fps, etc?
Should I use the standard DV – NTSC at 29.97 fps? Or, should I be capturing using a DV – NTSC 24p (23.98 fps)? And, what should I set the sequence settings to and edit in?
Also, what, if I do wish to create a 24p project (that will be duplicated on many DVDs) do I need to do with Cinema Tools? / DVD Studio 4?
What about Anamorphic? If I want widescreen, should I be messing with those settings at all?
Lots of questions, I know. Can someone please help?
