I have a number of MPEG (.MPG) movies shot with a digital stills camera that I am trying to use in a program being cut on FCP. The vision imports successfully but there is no audio attached. Can someone shed light on the problem here? Is there a setting that I have overlooked? I have also tried to convert the files to QT’s using compressor but once again the resulting file is without audio.

    Many thanks

    Download MPEG Streamclip at https://www.squared5.com/

It will convert your MPEG movie into any flavor you need. Also, it’s free!

    Cheers,

You need to demux the audio… do a web search for a demuxing tool
