Importing media
Before you sign that insurance contract you should ask.What does it not cover? So I ask is what does Sony Vegas not import? It seems that instead of importing mpg or .vf files it closes out the open file and opens the imported file in the original form. If the open file has been changed it asks if it is to be saved first. It seems that some time go I was importing vf and mpg ok. If the total is more than a disk capacity I don’t think so but not being an expert I am waiting for correction. So if anyone knows what kind of file vegas will not import please let me know. Is there some setting that will fix this problem?

Are you use that you are using Import and not Open. Open will replace your current project while Import will add to your current project. BTW, .vf is not a media file, it’s a Vegas Movie Studio project and does not “import”; it only “opens” replacing your project with that project.

Yes I have had the problem with import media. click on import media then go to the file and click on it. I will do some more research now that I am over any important stuff that has to be done. thanks for the reply.
