Activity Forums VEGAS Pro Importing Layered Graphic Files

    You can’t, even with Vegas Pro 8.
    I create multi-layered PSD files a lot and save out the desired layers in PNG format.
    The reason for that is that, even if you turn off the layers you don’t need, the file size is the same (larger than needed!!) as it would be with all layers active.

    I just tested this out and here are the results…

    When importing a psd with multiple layers and only one visible:
    Vegas replaces the image with this message “This layered Photoshop file was not saved with a composite image”

    When importing a psd with one layer and a photoshop generated background(layer was still locked):
    Works perfect!

    Does anyone know what a composite image is?

    a combination of 2 or more images
