Importing iphione footage

I am trying to import some i phone footage from a iphone 13 Pro Max running iOS 15.4.1

Into my Media Composer, 2021.5

Can anyone tell me the best step by step way to do this?

I have tried using a converter, EaseFab Video converter and can succesfully convert to Pro Res 422 HD and it looks ok, but is this the best way to convert the footage?

If I try and convert using DNxHD 1080P I just geet audio and a green screen.

I am an offline Editor, codecs / conversions are completely foreign to me!

Any help would be great.

Are you filming with the iPhone’s camera and built in software? Or are you using a videography app like Filmic Pro?
