I am trying to get a logo from photoshop into FCP. I can import fine, however ther color of the logo…very RED…is washed out. Also the black text is washed out. I understand computer monitors vs ntsc monitors, but this is really poor. Also their is a way to much “frequency movement” in the logo and text. Any suggestions on how to get a good quality logo on the screen.

original file was an eps, converted it to a psd in photoshop

It sounds like a monitor issue, perhaps your monitor coming out of fcp is washed out? Or maybe just the red channnel in the monitor?
You can definitely double check the true saturation quality of the image in fccp by by using the color correcting scopes. Check out the still psd file with the vectorscope and it shuold show how saturated you red channel is. If it reads plenty high like it should, then it’s your output from fcp.

    Good Luck
