    here’s the problem:

when importing tga-files final cut always recognizes them with 25fps even when working in ntsc or 59,94 hd (1280×1024) hope somebody project.
when dragging them into a timeline an error message appears
    “insufficient content for edit”.
this only appears when setting the import option for still/freeze duration to one frame in the user preferences.
when setting the duration to two frames final cut gives them a duration of one frame in the bin.
but if i drag this images into a timeline the duration is not correct.
example: a 30sek shot is now 60sek long and the play-back is half speed of the original.
and it goes on: when dragging images into a 60p timeline every image has a duration of two frames.
is it a bug in final cut 5?
i think in final cut 4 the import worked without problems.

    hope somebody can help me.
    bye hinzkuntz

You could always convert them in Quicktime Pro before importing the converted movie.

Having a lot of still images really slows down FCP, especially opening & saving projects.
Converting in Motion works well too.

    I agree.

With Quicktime you choose exactly what the FPS rate is before you import the image sequence.

    Good luck!
