I have a logo I built in Illustrator CS, it has 15 layers. Is there a way to import the the logo file into C4D maintaining the individual layers so each can be extruded and surfaced individually? Up until now, I have always exported each individual layer as a seperate AI file and then imported each seperate layer into C4D one at a time and theN painstakingly reassembled the logo in C4D. There must be an easier way……… ??

    THANKS

No, AI 88 technically does not support layers (only “objects”) so it wouldn’t work anyway, regardless if C4D provided this functionality. To make the reassembly easier you should look into adding crop frames or something similar and then make good use of C4D’s snapping functions. Using the explode segments/ disconnect functions it would be easy to get rid of the extra spline.
