  • Importing Illustrator CS3 file as a Comp

I created an Illustrator CS3 file with an embedded picture. When I import the AI file into After Effect CS3 as a comp, AE will show all of the layers except for the one with the embedded picture. It identifies the layer, but the picture will not appear.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Never heard of this — must have something to do with the picture being linked in AI, and not psted onto a layer, maybe. I really don’t know.

If you can’t find a way to make the picture part of the AI file (again, I don’t know), you might have to make a rectangle in place of the photo in AI, import the file into AE, then import the photo separately into AE and align it to the rectangle.
