Importing HD files using FCP 4.5
The project was shot HD using P2 cards. The data was dropped onto an external hard drive on set using a laptop. I’m now wondering if I can (and how to do it if so) import these files into Final Cut, with just using the hard drive. Is it possible? Do I need other software?

What format of HD video was recorded onto the P2 Cards.
It is is possible that FCP 4.5 will not support the format of video that was recorded.

What if you’re shooting 1080 HD footage on Panasonic HVX 500 and need to import footage into FCP 4.5? What are one’s options?
