Trying to important an animation I made in photoshop to AE. The gif has no background, no matte, just transparent plus what I drew on it. (hopefully I’m using the right terms. The point to it having no background is so I can generate it in AE and have that lay under the entire animation so I won’t have make an individual background for every frame. When I import it as a gif animation, it suddenly has a white matte. I can’t import it as a psd or it won’t animate. Help PLEASE!

don’t know if this helps but i did something similar and I saved everything as a PNG file instead and my background stayed transparent.

To save it as an animation it has to be in gif format. Thanks though.
